Back on the AirDyne

6:30 Workout @ Vitality Fitness
4 Dudes showed up for the workout at Vitality - Chase told us it was going to be hard and fast --he wasn't messing around. Each round we were suppose to increase our watts.

5:00 AirDyne (max effort - Watts/Cal.)
5:00 Rest
4:00 AirDyne (max effort - Watts/Cal.)
4:00 Rest
3:00 (max effort - Watts/Cal.)
3:00 Rest
2:00 (max effort - Watts/Cal.)
2:00 Rest
1:00 (max effort - Watts/Cal.)

Then walk around in a dazed and confused state for close to 1/2 hour wondering why anyone would ever exercise on an AirDyne. It really is Satan's Bike.

Round 1: My legs felt strong and solid - I didn't want to hold anything back so I started off hard and fast averaging 30cal a minute. The 5 minutes passed fast, but when I stopped my legs got tight and filled with blood. I took the whole 5 minute of rest to recover.
Watts/Cal: 415/143
Round 2: My legs felt strong again, and I powered through to finish with watts higher then round 1.
436/118
Round 3: After the first minute of round 3 my legs started to get really tight and it was a battle to keep them moving at a hard / fast pace. I slowed down in the last minute and couldn't increase my watts. I might have dug the whole a little too big the first round.
395/81
Round 4: It was so short that the pain in my legs was not to bad to deal with.
447/59
Round 5: It was an all out sprint to the end - I emptied everything I had.
539/34
