training

18.81 mile loop
Left from work at 5300S. started slow along 900E - warming up my heart and legs - I hit all the stop lights and had a difficult time moving through traffic until I hit 9400S. Step hills had me out of the TT saddle most of the time moving from 900E to Wasatch Blvd. 9400S turned into 9000S and moved me all the way up to the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon. The sun was perfect and the clouds made an amazing backdrop to the canyon. My legs felt strong and fired fast after a rest day on Sunday and no weights on Monday. Once I hit Wastach my focus turned to speed - I worked on pulling on the up stroke and staying in the TT position.

I did an all out effort push to finish the ride 3.20 miles along Wastach Blvd in 14 min. I averaged almost 23MPH with a heart rate around 165. Finished the ride in 58 minutes.
